I'm building a little 5 hex nano, and I can't really fit much ontop of it lighting wise.
I can either ditch the original hood and add a 9" 18 watt 50/50 power compact, or I can try to keep it and go with a 50/50 10 watt (50 watt equivalent) mini compact. Which do you think would work out better? The PC light would be a nanocube, biocube, or coralife bulb. The mini-compact would be coralife. http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.co...70&pcatid=9870 I wouldn't really need to make any modifications to anything using the mini-compact. I'd kind of like to give it a shot for that reason, but I'm not sure the "50 watt equivalent" 10 watt bulb will be quite enough. Suggestions? Also, if it is pushing 50 watts equivalent light out of the 10 watt bulb...is that 10 watts per gallon going to fry basically anything I put in there?
